Based in New York City and aligned with world class institutions such as the University of Toronto, Cornell University, University of Southern California and Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Kernls provides the only way for donors to connect directly with medical researchers to fund, see and share the impact of their work.
CEO Mike Haughton founded Kernls as a result of his own search for meaning in the loss of both of his parents to cancer and his frustration in finding and connecting with researchers who were working toward a cure for those illnesses. Kernls solves this issue by pairing researchers with motivated donors it calls “Champions,” who drive awareness and giving by sharing the projects with their network and/or matching donations.
